A Google search unearthed a YouTube video (archived) making the claim that was uploaded on Dec. 21. The Beneath the Mask channel (archived) hosted the clip. The video's title read, "Airport Staff Kicked Out Sasha Obama, But Regretted Everything When Her Father Barack Obama Arrived." As of this writing, the clip had received around 900,000 views.

Fashion designer Andre Soriano used the "Make America Great Again" official presidential campaign flag to design a MAGA gown for celebrities in Hollywood to wear on red carpet, such as at the 2017 Grammy Awards.

Reporters and political commentators joked about the tan suit, making a play on words of Obama's "Yes We Can" and "the audacity of hope" phrases into "yes we tan" and "the audacity of taupe." The latter phrase, a parody of Obama's book The Audacity of Hope, was recycled from media coverage of a 2010 Oval Office redecoration by Michael S.

Had Sasha Obama done something like this, the Maga cult (or whatever they called themselves before the "Trump Plague" was cast upon us) would have had a total meltdown over this kind of behavior. I guess the Maga defense of this Trump activity will be: "She's white, so it's alright".
