Is global shipping a scam that costs more and delays?
Question asked:
“Global shipping is a scam in a way. You're paying more to get the item way later than you would if seller shipped direct. And customs? After 10 years on eBay”
Summary
The eBay Global Shipping Program bundles shipping and customs duties, which can make the total price higher and delivery slower than when a seller ships directly. While some buyers report unexpected fees or longer transit times, the program is a legitimate service rather than a fraudulent scheme. It simply adds convenience at a cost that may exceed direct shipping.
