I appreciate the desire for strict adherence to the "original" frame rate and all but the point is this: the majority of all DVDs produced (both PAL and NTSC) are not at the original film frame rate. 24fps film is typically sped up to 25fps for PAL and slowed very slightly to 23.976fps for NTSC.

This results in the complete loss of over 11% of Nosferatu’s frames. The final outcome is that visible motion jitter, a juddery, stutter-like effect, is introduced throughout and a goodly chunk of the actual film is gone. The restorer’s job wholly undone. So far Kino have refused to acknowledge any error, let alone initiate a recall and replacement programme.
